In-Reply-To: <4A83D42C.6070700@geocom.com.au> References: <4A83D42C.6070700@geocom.com.au> Message-ID: <1A63386B4F899F47BFA77D53BB4F45F53B4DB6@HCMEXCH01.asia.tlm.com> This may be old news, but it was certainly a surprise to me. For those of you living in the metric parts of the world, who make plots of seismic data in IESX, beware of this plotting bug. When making a scaled plot, if you click Preview Size, the actual plot length in metres is exactly 2.54 times longer than the reported size. I discovered this by accident when trying to make a wall display about 7 metres long and ended up with a plot about 18 metres long! The good news is that there is a simple workaround. On the Parameters tab of the Scaled Plot parameters dialog, choose English Plotting Units. The reported plot length (and width) in feet is correct. The bad news is that this bug has been known about since 2005 (the BugID is 1127824). For some reason, the programmer chose a special feet-to-metres conversion for the length of 0.12 instead of the customary 0.3048 and Schlumberger haven't bothered to fix it. Regards, Simon
