Seasons Greetings from the HALUG Steering Committee and Landmark! 
Our next HALUG Meeting is Tuesday, December 14th. Hope everyone 
had a nice Thanksgiving and we certainly look forward to seeing 
you at our last HALUG meeting in 1999 before the millenium.

Location:      Marathon Tower Auditorium(Houston near Galleria)
Address:       5555 San Felipe
Time:          Meeting begins at 11:30 a.m., and will last until
               1:00 pm
	
Title:   Interpret2000 - Using the New Seismic Data Formats:         
Benefits,Impact, Examples

Description: 
This will be an open discussion about the new seismic data
formats(compressed and bricked volumes) and the new horizon data
format. Examples from testing done during the early client
programs, Field Test and Beta Program,will be presented to help
users better understand observed compression ratios vs. fidelity
factor. Results will be presented from our earlyclient programs,
showing the effects of different bricking assumptions
on different types of project datasets. New functionality
called "Read Next" will be described - functionality added to
increase interpretation productivity in certain circumstances.
Also, the current schedule for First Customer Ship/Rollout and
Delivery of Interpret2000 will be detailed.

Note:  Auditorium is on 10th floor of parking garage - cafeteria
       on same floor
NOTE:  Food and drink are NOT allowed in the auditorium so please

lunch or a drink at the Marathon cafateria, they will stamp
your parking ticket.
