Abstract:
Knowledge Systems Inc. (KSI) was acquired by Landmark in May 2008. KSI is already present in many oil & gas companies with its software and services to predict the presence of overpressured formations before they are drilled. Drillworks is the name of the KSI software suite.
In this presentation we will demonstrate a workflow employing the Drillworks Expert solution for wellbore geopressure prediction. This new addition to the Landmark offering adds expanded capabilities over previous solutions by leveraging multi-discipline workflows and data sources to derive pore pressure and wellbore stability information. Drillworks Expert combines the offset well analysis with available seismic data and geological input to derive a basin scale model. From this model, predictions can be made and then updated in real-time to address wellbore stability issues before they become a problem. These insights can reduce drilling costs by decreasing non-productive time, and ultimately lead to higher production volumes from wells with fewer borehole concerns.
This presentation should appeal to Geologists, Geophysicists and Drilling Engineers.

We would like to express our appreciation to Landmark for providing the meeting room and the food. Without their help, we could not have a place to meet.
As Lee Ethetton has resigned from the Steering Committee (and Lee, we all thank you for your many years of service to the Landmark User Community!), we are accepting the names of volunteers who would like to serve on the Committee. Please send an e-mail with your name and contact information to all of the members listed below.
The steering committee is interested in any comments or suggestions you may want to provide. We are most interested in anyone willing to give a talk for the group on how they have used the Landmark software exclusively or in combination with other software to find oil and gas. The members are:
